All 194 Disney Songs Ranked From Heigh-Ho To Let It Go

Now, to keep this list below 200 songs, I didn’t rank EVERY Disney song, technically. Here’s what I’m excluding:

-Songs from anthology films and shorts, like Make Mine Music, Saludos Amigos, Melody Time, The Three Caballeros, Fun and Fancy Free, etc.

-Songs from anything that contains live-action.

-Songs from any direct-to-video Disney sequels (I’m SO sorry, Lion King 2. Your songs belong in the top spots in the list, but it was already getting too long).

-Songs that play during the title or end credits (for example, “Alice in Wonderland”).

-Background songs that don’t include any part by characters we see singing (like “An Innocent Warrior” from Moana) with a few notable exceptions (mostly from Tarzan and Brave).

-Songs under one minute (or within a few seconds after a minute), UNLESS that song is significant. So, “Reindeer(s) Are Better Than People (reprise)” isn’t going to count as basically a short interlude to “Lost in the Woods,” but “Prince Ali (reprise)” counts since it’s Jafar’s only song in Aladdin.

-Songs from stop-motion films like James and the Giant Peach and The Nightmare Before Christmas.

-Songs from the Winnie the Pooh films. That just feels like a separate thing and there’s an excessive number of films and songs.

-Songs from Teacher’s Pet and Home on the Range because I’ve never heard of them, and I don’t think you have either.

-Songs from non-musicals. Any film with three or less songs would not be considered a musical for this list. Exceptions will be made for really significant songs from non-musicals, like “Cruella De Vil” or “You’ve Got a Friend In Me.”

-Songs without words.

-Songs that were not made specifically for the film.
