Sky News Political editor Andrew Clennell discussed today Energy Secretary Chris Bowen’s speech on climate change and the National Press Club.
On Wednesday, Mr Bowen said: “after years of climate change policies being weaponized by conservatives, after years of unfounded fear campaigns about the costs of climate action – there were climate elections”.
“And that election resulted in a victory for Labor with an ambitious climate agenda.” said Mr Bowen.
Mr Clennell discussed Mr Bowen’s claim that the recent federal election was “climate elections”.
“That may be news to some,” Mr. Clennell said.
“To be honest, I don’t think we heard that much about climate during the election — it was more about wages and other things.”
