Texas A&M men’s basketball has been very active over the past few weeks. Mississippi State Transfer Anderson Garcia He was the first to jump on board last month. On Friday afternoon, the news became official as he has officially signed with the Aggies.
During his two seasons at Starkville, Garcia appeared in 44 games and made three starts averaging 3.8 points and 3.5 rebounds. Last season, he averaged 4.3 points and 4.2 rebounds.
The Aggies took a first-hand look at Garcia earlier this year as Dominican Republic native Moca scored a career-high 14 points against the Aggies on March 5, and five days later captured 14 career-high rebounds against South Carolina in the SEC Championship .
“Anderson is a perfect fit for our program and plays aggressively with every possession,” said assistant coach Steve Rocaforte. “He is a versatile player who can play multiple positions. He brings rebounds and solidity to the table for us that need it most. We are excited about what he brings to strengthen our team.”
For his career, he shoots 55.6% from the ground and has 50 assists and 41 shots.
In addition to Garcia, the Aggies have also added Julius Marble and K. K. Robinson to the fold as well from the carriage gate. These three players come with Power Five experience with Marple coming from Michigan State and Robinson from Arkansas.
