Telugu megastar Chiranjeevi is full of gratitude to Bollywood star Salman Khan, who willingly agreed to play a small part in his upcoming movie, GodFather, which is a remake of the movie Lucifer. In a new interview, Chiranjeevi shared how GodFather’s director Mohan Raja suggested Salman’s name for the role. So Chiranjeevi told the filmmaker that he will try to get the Bollywood star on board as “he is the best friend of our family” and “respects us all and in the same way we respect him so much.”

Chiranjeevi told Film Companion that he sent a message to Salman, who immediately replied, “Yes, yes Chiru garu, what do you want?” The Telugu star continued: ‘I told him it’s a small character, but very respectable, and you can watch Lucifer if you want. He said, ‘No, no Chiru garu, I’ll do it. Send your person, we’ll discuss the dates and everything.’ He agreed within 2-3 minutes.”

Salman refused to accept any compensation for his role in GodFather. Chiranjeevi said, “When my producers went to him and offered him an amount, not knowing how much it was, he said, ‘You can’t buy my love for Ram and Chiranjeevi garu with money. Get lost.’” Salman’s gesture fulfilled. Chiranjeevi with “love and affection for Sallu bhai”.

Earlier, at a film’s pre-release event, Chiranjeevi had promised the audience some fireworks with Salman and him sharing the screen. “Salman Khan has taken the responsibility on my behalf to entertain you all the way to the climax. It turned out beautifully,” he said.
