Elizabeth Hurley rocks a yellow bikini in a new Instagram touting her swimwear line.
“Let the sun in…”, she wrote in the post.
The actress recently turned 57, paying tribute to one of her most iconic, bold looks from the ’90s.
Elizabeth Hurley’s bikini collection is impressive to say the least – the beachwear designer has a suit in just about every shade. But her latest Instagram shows off a sunny yellow bikini that seriously stands out.
In the first photo shared to a gallery, the 57-year-old is leaning against a wall and sculpting the two-piece string model with braided bottoms. In subsequent photos, she models the suit as she cycles, then shows off a yellow and pink floral cover from her brand, Elizabeth Hurley Swimwear.
“Let the sun in…30% off our Sunshine edition, which includes all my favorite yellow pieces www.elizabethhurley.com 😘😘😘😘,” she captioned the post. The fans and followers of the actress loved the theme post. “It’s all about the ,” commented one person. “Stunner 😍,” added another. “#legend 🧨💥”, wrote someone else.
The bedazzled star recently celebrated her 57th birthday, for which she modeled another cheery yellow piece — a partially see-through, off-the-shoulder sundress from Versace. “Congratulations on meeeeee 2022 ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ @versace @donatella_versace,” she captioned a series of photos of her hopping around in a field wearing the garment.
If you didn’t know, Hurley has been a longtime devotee of Versace — most notably wearing the label during the 1994 premiere of Four weddings and a funeral, which she attended with then-boyfriend Hugh Grant. The bold black dress made fashion history with its high slits and safety pins. So it makes sense that, in honor of such a milestone birthday, Hurley pays tribute to the moment with a dress that’s similarly constructed.
After sharing her yellow Versace look, she posed in a fluorescent pink mini dress with cutouts and chain link accents. “Having a @versace moment ❤️❤️,” she captioned the post. Fans immediately noticed the call to the ’90s, but the moment she wore the original dress, Hurley had no idea it would leave such a mark.
“I was so unprepared for what happened that night,” she recalled in a 2019 interview with Harper’s BAZAAR for which she recreated the iconic look. “I urgently needed to find a dress to wear to Hugh’s premiere, and at the time I had no idea about fashion.” A PR agency helped her find the last-minute outfit and she put it on in her one-bedroom apartment.
Hurley’s recreation of it for BAZAAR was modified to include one long sleeve, making it a little more “subdued,” Hurley explained. But she let it be known that the original dress still fits. “Just because it still fits doesn’t mean I’d wear it today,” she said. “It wouldn’t be appropriate!”
