Buccaneers statement on Week 4 vs. Chiefs

Our thoughts and prayers remain with the many thousands in southwest Florida who were hit hard by Hurricane Ian. We are also very grateful that the Tampa Bay area was spared the most damaging effects of this powerful storm. We have informed the NFL, after consulting with local and state agencies, that we are ready to play Sunday night’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs at Raymond James Stadium as originally scheduled.

We would like to thank all local government agencies and the thousands of first responders who have worked tirelessly over the past few days to ensure that our area would be ready to respond should the need arise. We would also like to thank the Miami Dolphins organization for their help and hospitality in letting us use their practice facilities this week.

We also want to express our sincere appreciation to the first responders and first responders who are already fighting the elements, saving lives and helping our neighbors in the most affected areas in the south.

We will soon have additional information on ways we can work together to support our community and those most affected by the storm.
