Colombian singer-songwriter Carlos Vives confirmed that Shakira is going through a tough time following her recent break-up from Barcelona centre-back Gerard Pique.
Vives, who released the song La Bicicleta in collaboration with his compatriot back in 2016, admitted that Shakira has been finding things hard lately.
“She is sad,” Vives said at a gala celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Cadena 100 music radio station.
“She’s going through a very difficult time.”
Vives only had good words to say about Pique and avoided discussing the infidelity rumours surrounding the player, wishing the best for both parties.
Pique was spotted in London ahead of Wimbledon, with reports stating that he broke a press photographer’s phone after the latter tried to get images of the Barcelona star.
Meanwhile, some graffiti was painted outside Shakira‘s family home in Barcelona, with the singer now thought to have one or even more stalkers.
The messages included phrases such as “I love you beautiful woman”, “I’m coming for you, my love” and ” I’m ready to marry you right now and support you”.
