Heather Morris recalls how Glee leading lady Naya Rivera confronted her over eating disorder

On Wednesday, Glee alum Heather Morris revealed that her late leading lady Naya Rivera once confronted her over her eating disorder while they were on tour with the cast in 2010.

‘[Naya] herself had had eating disorders, and she was very open about it in her [2016 memoir Sorry Not Sorry],’ the 35-year-old SAG Award winner recalled on Jenna Ushkowitz and Kevin McHale’s podcast And That’s What You REALLY Missed.

‘So she of course was the first to speak up about it and just say “I don’t know what’s going on with you, but I feel like something is happening.” Just was trying to be there in a way, and I just completely blew it off.’

By that point, Heather was so unhealthy her period had stopped and she would refuse to eat anything at the food hall as her castmates watched on helplessly.

‘[Naya] had probably got the hint like “Oh, okay. If she doesn’t want to talk about it, she’s probably not ready for this conversation,”‘ Morris explained.

‘That’s who she was. She was just always ready to talk about it. We’re all like that now. It just takes that time and place in your life where you’re like “Life’s too short.”‘

Rivera and the Arizona-born blonde played William McKinley High School cheerleaders Santana Lopez and Brittany Pierce who eventually got married in the Fox musical series, which aired from 2009-2015.

Morris famously got her big break performing as a back-up dancer for 28-time Grammy winner Beyoncé between 2007-2008.

The Fatal Fandom actress was originally hired by Glee choreographer Zach Woodlee to teach the 41-year-old R&B diva’s Single Ladies dance to the cast, but wound up landing the part of Brittany.

Heather went on to tell a gross story about accidentally ‘s**rting’ her pants while driving her Prius to the Paramount set.

‘I had to get there in like 10 minutes. So I pull into the neighborhood right across the street,’ Morris recalled.

‘I don’t even have to take off my [American Apparel] onesie. I take off my underwear inside my onesie. Like I pull it through my leg, I roll it in a ball, I throw it out the window. I check if I’m fine.

‘Like there’s no stank coming from me, I’m good. I’m not going to give away that I just s*** my pants. And then I walked into Paramount, and I continued to teach you guys the Single Ladies dance.’

Heather said, 'I got to pick [from three costumes]. Those were the three that she pitched me: This cute Eiffel Tower, which was just too big and bulky. I couldn't have danced in her. Then there was Lily, and she was really pretty. But once I saw Scissors, she was it!'
