Charleston White says King Von’s death was not “unfortunate” and that he was a “demon.” The YouTuber discussed the late rapper during a recent appearance on DJ Akademiks’ podcast, Fresh & Fit.

“King Von was known as a murderer,” White told Akademiks. “A man who killed black people. A man accused of murdering a black girl… He’s celebrated, right? You have celebrities taking pictures for his mural. What about his victims’ families? … Why don’t you ever speak on their behalf?”

He further complained about Von’s success by “rapping about his murders” and saying that more attention should be paid to “the victims.” White was probably referring to the 2014 shooting, in which Von was arrested in connection with the death of Malcolm Stuckey and the wounding of two other men. The charges were dropped in 2017 after witnesses failed to testify.

“Fuck that idol! That idol is a demon! A self-proclaimed demon!’ White continued. ‘N***a, I don’t ride with demons. When did black people start riding demons, buddy? We have grandmothers who pray, mothers who say, “Son, bless your food before you eat it.” So I watch this and everyone side with King Von.

“What about these victims here that nobody shines the light on? So these people are in pain; they have no voice. They don’t have anyone [who] can say, “Man, fuck them.” But they said, “Fuck King Von for being accused of murdering their people.”

Von was shot and killed on November 6, 2020 during an altercation with the crew of Quando Rondo in Atlanta, Georgia. He was only 26 years old.
