Surgery complications
Iggy Azalea was unable to walk for three weeks after “complications” arose from a “rather mundane operation” she underwent to repair lingering back problems. The rapper described her struggle on Twitter on Nov. 28. “It ended up not being very mundane because I had complications with my recovery and ended up in bed, hooked up to a million machines and in so much pain it’s about 3 days. I actually can’t remember at all,” she said. “I haven’t walked except to use the bathroom (a whole other ordeal lol) for 3 weeks and you’d be shocked to know how weak you can get if you don’t actually move. It goes really fast.” Iggy is now slowly starting to walk, train and recover. “It was very challenging mentally to suddenly be unable to do anything for yourself and not have answers about when you will recover. That was the hardest part but all the doctors are so happy with how fast I am getting better now that I am back on moving and walking,” she shared.

Divorce settled
Finally! Nearly two years after Kim Kardashian filed for divorce — and eight months after a judge declared her legally single — the reality TV star and Kanye West have settled their divorce. According to TMZ, Kim and Kanye will have joint custody with “equal access” to their four children, but the Skims founder will still have the kids most of the time, as she does now. Furthermore, Kanye’s share of monthly child support is set at $200,000, which he will have to remit to Kim every month. Continuing the 50/50 theme of the settlement, Ye will be responsible for half of their children’s security costs and half of their education costs. The settlement comes just weeks before the case was due to go to trial, and there was some doubt that Ye would even participate. In other Kanye news, he praised Nazi leader Adolf Hitler on “Infowars” on Dec. 1. “I like Hitler,” he said. Even host and conspiracy theorist Alex Jones was baffled by Ye’s statement. Later that night, Kanye tweeted an image of a swastika in the Star of David, prompting new Twitter owner Elon Musk to suspend Ye’s account, explaining, “He has again broken our rule against inciting violence.”

Allegations of an affair
Wake up to an affair! “Good Morning America” co-hosts TJ Holmes and Amy Robach have been accused of having a months-long secret affair. According to reports from multiple outlets, both ABC morning show stars divorced their husbands in August, but they reportedly started getting romantic months earlier when they both trained for the New York City Half Marathon, which Amy ran with her now-estranged husband, actor Andrew Shue. It is believed that TJ and Amy grew closer when they were in London for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in June. On Nov. 30, DailyMail.com published photos of the journalists socializing in a bar and holding hands in an Uber. Another photo appeared to show TJ tapping Amy’s butt as she loaded something into the trunk of a car while they were out of town in upstate New York together. “They have a very cozy relationship on air, but that’s what is expected. But they were very careful behind the scenes to keep their affair a secret. The producers of ‘GMA’ are shocked to learn that they are having an affair, a source told Page Six. After the news broke, Amy deactivated her Instagram. TJ’s Instagram was already deactivated. On December 1, Amy and TJ arrived to team up and made no mention of their romance. That same day, an insider told People magazine that Amy had “nothing to hide.” The insider added: “These were two consenting adults who were each divorced…. The relationship only started after that.”
RIP, Songbird
On November 30, Christine McVie of Fleetwood Mac died at the age of 79 from a “brief illness”, her family confirmed. Christine joined Fleetwood Mac in 1970, just before the influential group broke through to mainstream success. The singer and keyboardist was behind some of the group’s biggest hits, including “Don’t Stop,” “You Make Loving Fun,” and “Little Lies.” A statement from Christine’s family said she “passed away peacefully in hospital”. It continued: “She was in the company of her family. We kindly ask that you respect the family’s privacy at this most painful time, and we want everyone to hold Christine in their hearts and remember the life of an incredible human being, and respected musician who was universally loved.”
Taste over
In the rape case of Danny Masterson, a mistrial was declared on November 30 after the jury deadlocked. The “That ’70s Show” actor was charged in 2020 with violently raping three women in separate incidents that took place between 2001 and 2003. The Associated Press reported that jurors voted seven times on Nov. 29 and Nov. 30 without reaching a consensus reach on one of the three counts. The judge set a retrial date for March 2023. “While we are disappointed with the outcome of this trial, we thank the jurors for their services,” the district attorney’s office said in a statement. “We also want to express our sincere appreciation to the victims who courageously stepped forward and shared their harrowing experiences.” Danny has maintained his innocence.
Angry locals
Jason Momoa has angered locals on the Big Island of Hawaii after it was announced that a farmer’s market would be closed for a few weekends due to the production of his Apple TV+ show “Chief of War.” TMZ reported that vendors selling produce at the Kaimu Farmer’s Market – which is only open on Saturdays – were told the area would be occupied by film crews on consecutive Saturdays in December, which is typically the most profitable month for them. To make matters worse, it seems that sellers are not being reimbursed for lost revenue during filming. Jason was called “out of touch” as many claimed he was cutting into their livelihoods.
Health issues
Al Roker is still in the recovery phase. On November 30, Page Six reported that weather guru “Today” was taken to hospital by ambulance just a day after being released from treatment for blood clots in his leg and lungs. “Al was taken from his house to the hospital on a stretcher on Friday, the day after Thanksgiving,” a source told the outlet. “His condition was worrying, but once back in hospital he improved.” Al, 68, would be replaced by Mario Lopez at the annual “Christmas in Rockefeller Center” tree lighting event on Nov. 30, according to the event page. The week before, he missed the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade for the first time in 27 years, as he was still receiving treatment from his doctors. But as he told fans on Instagram at the time, he was able to leave the hospital and eat at his family’s house for a holiday dinner. He has been away from the “Today” show for four weeks due to his latest health issues.
