Fans are counting down the days to Halloween ends comes out in theaters and streams on Peacock on October 14.
Meanwhile, the star of the franchise, Jamie Lee Curtisdoes promotions, and she shared a hilarious story about why exactly the movie studio sent a security guard to its screening.
On September 30, Curtis visited the popular British program The Graham Norton Showthat’s when she opened up about this strange experience.
She started by explaining to host Graham Norton and the other guests she wanted to see Halloween ends prior to release so that she could accurately promote the film, so the studio, Universal Pictures, set her up with her own personal screening.
She even had a remote to control the movie’s volume, so she said, “I was groovy. All that talk, great. Once the music comes on and the thing, I turn it down, and I turn around.”
She then says, “But…” and explains that Universal also insisted on “having a guard in the room” at the showing.
Why? As Curtis said, “so I wouldn’t pirate my own f—–g movie.”

She remembered her response being, “Wait, what?”, but she explained that she got over it and found some pleasure in the experience instead.
“The guy is in the back. So, my whole movie, I turned the volume down and I turned my head… but I have to listen to it.“
Curtis proceeds to comically exclaim the guard’s exclamations of shock and “Oh no!” while watching the horror movie.
To top off the funny story, she pretended to give the middle finger to the security guard sitting in the back, glad he was suffering through the movie because the studio didn’t trust her not to pirate her own movie.
