There was a large police presence in Okanagan Falls on Saturday night after gunshots allegedly went off in the small community.
Several residents in the area say shots were fired around 10 p.m. Saturday night near the corner of Maple Street and 10 Ave.
It is not clear if anyone was injured in the reported shooting, but police quickly dispersed in the area. A resident says officers blocked Eastside Road on Saturday night and did not allow vehicles south to Okanagan Falls.
Castanet has contacted the RCMP for more information about the shooting as it is unknown at this time whether the RCMP has made any arrests.
“Everyone is wondering what’s going on, I don’t know if they caught a man or something,” one resident told Castanet. “Nobody knows if there’s a maniac out there.”
