For Saskatoon’s skiers, snowboarders and tube riders, it makes sense to be lifted in a place with optimist in the title. Optimist Hill’s two conveyor lifts are among the amenities that will open Friday as the 2022-23 season kicks off.

Last year, the hill opened on December 17. Opening day sponsor Conxeus Credit Union returns this year, meaning the first 250 people to arrive at the hill as soon as it opens at 4 p.m. will be treated to free lift passes and hot chocolate.
