Ottawa Weather: Severe thunderstorms

A severe thunderstorm is in effect for Ottawa and the region.

Environment Canada warns of possible heavy thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon and early evening. The storms can cause strong gusts of up to 80 km / h, hail and heavy rain.

The clock is coming while warm and humid temperatures are returning to the region on Wednesday after somewhat cooler weather to start the week.

Environment Canada expects a high temperature of 26 C on Wednesday. The humidity will make it feel closer to 34.

Thursday’s highest is 20 C with a 60 percent chance of showers.

The warm temperatures return on Friday and stay the weekend.
