The Green Bay Packers listed 11 players in the team’s first week 1 injury report, but only one player — receiver Allen Lazard — did not practice on Wednesday.
Lazard’s problem – a mystery for the past week – has been described as an ankle injury. Coach Matt LaFleur said he was “caught” last week.
While Lazard was a DNP, left tackle David Bakhtiari, offensive lineman Elgton Jenkins, safety Darnell Savage and tight end Robert Tonyan were all listed as limited on Wednesday – meaning there’s no guarantee they’ll be available for Sunday’s game in the U.S. Bank Stadium.
Bakhtiari (knee), Jenkins (knee/chest) and Tonyan (knee) are all recovering from previous injuries. Savage injured his hamstring on Family Night in early August.
Jenkins, who unexpectedly missed a workout last week, is battling another chest injury and solving another mystery.
Kicker Mason Crosby (knee), linebacker Tipa Galeai (elbow), center Jake Hanson (shoulder), safety Dallin Leavitt (shoulder), offensive tackle Yosh Nijman (knee), and receiver Christian Watson (knee) were all full participants on Wednesday. All six should be on track to play in the season opener on Sunday.
The Minnesota Vikings listed only one player in Wednesday’s injury report: defensive lineman Jonathan Bullard, who was limited with a biceps injury.
