Florida Panthers forward Anthony Duclair suffered an Achilles tendon injury, according to The Athletic‘s Pierre LeBrun. The injury occurred during offseason training and Duclair met with doctors this week to discuss the possibility of surgery, Sportsnet’s Elliotte Friedman reported.
While his exact timeline of return is unclear, the expectation is that Duclair will miss significant time recovering from injury.
This past season, Duclair scored a career-high 31 goals and 58 points in 74 games with the Florida Panthers. In 470 career games, Duclair has 120 goals and 252 career points. The Quebecer has suited up for six NHL franchises including the Panthers, New York Rangers, Arizona Coyotes, Chicago Blackhawks, Ottawa Senatorsand Columbus Blue Jackets.
