Another update on the entire Kate Midleton and Prince Williams moving saga. The royal couple are reportedly seeking to move closer to the Queen of Windsor, but their previous plans to move into the newly renovated Adelaide Cottage (just a 10-minute walk from Her Majesty) have apparently been canceled.
Instead, Sunday Times reports that the Cambridges are likely to move into “The Big House” on the Windsor Estate, as Prince Charles will not use it as much when he is king. In the meantime, the couple will keep their apartments in Kensington Palace and will also use Anmer Hall (their home in Norfolk) regularly.
“They absolutely love it up there, it’s their happy place,” a source, who is a friend of William, told the magazine, adding that Wills and Kate will move back to Anmer “after the school years.”
“The reality is that they’re pretty limited to what they can do in London,” said another friend. “The kids can’t go into the park and kick football with friends. Their plan is to be there for the next 10 to 15 years and then move to Anmer, which is so special for them.”
This focal point of “The Big House” comes amidst a small drama about Adelaide Cottage with Princess Eugenie. That Daily mail previously reported it sources “close to York” said she “had been trying to secure Adelaide Cottage for a while when she moved out of Frogmore”, and “before Andrew’s latest scandal, it was certainly a property he was [also] trying to secure for his daughter. “
The publication noted that “there is no doubt” that the Cambridges would get first choice in the matter, but it appears that they have moved to larger and more advanced houses, so ¯ \ _ (ツ) _ / ¯.
