Succession Season 4 Begins Production, Episode Order Revealed

It has been announced that production has begun on season four of HBO’s critically acclaimed dark comedy/drama series Succession.

HBO released a picture showing a clapperboard for episode 401 of Successionconfirming that the fourth season is now underway. HBO also announced that this season will have ten episodes. If you’re behind on the series, the first three seasons are all available to stream through HBO Max.

“In the ten-episode season four, the sale of media conglomerate Waystar Royco to tech visionary Lukas Matsson moves ever closer,” reads the fourth season’s synopsis. “The prospect of this seismic sale provokes existential angst and familial division among the Roys as they anticipate what their lives will look like once the deal is completed. A power struggle ensues as the family weighs up a future where their cultural and political weight is severely curtailed.”

The first two seasons of Succession have earned nine Emmy wins and 23 nominations. The cast of the upcoming season includes Brian Cox, Jeremy Strong, Sarah Snook, Kieran Culkin, Alan Ruck, Matthew Macfadyen, Nicholas Braun, J. Smith-Cameron, Peter Friedman, David Rasche, Fisher Stevens, Hiam Abbass, Justine Lupe, Scott Nicholson, Zoë Winters, and Jeannie Berlin.

The series was created by Jesse Armstrong, and is executive produced by Jesse Armstrong, Adam McKay, Frank Rich, Kevin Messick, Jane Tranter, Mark Mylod, Tony Roche, Scott Ferguson, Jon Brown, Lucy Prebble, Will Tracy, and Will Ferrell. Jesse Armstrong will be showrunner for season four.
