A 34-year-old man from Hawkesbury is due to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in l’Orignal on December 21 on a number of charges involving sexual assault, child lure and threats.
In a brief release on Thursday, provincial police said the man was arrested on Dec. 6.
The man is suspected of:
- Luring a person under the age of 18 by means of telecommunication
- Making threats to cause death or bodily harm
- Sexual assault
- Sexual interference
- Make sexually explicit material available to any person under the age of 18.
In addition, the defendant faces two counts of supplying tobacco products to a person under the age of 19 under the Smoke Free Ontario Act.
The identities of the suspect and the victim have not been released under the terms of the Juvenile Criminal Law Act.
