The body, found at a golf course in Milton on Thursday, has been identified as a Mississauga man.

Seif Karrawan, a Mississauga man who had been missing since Christmas 2021, was the man whose body was found at a golf course in Milton on Thursday.

Halton Regional Police (HRPS) said Thursday that a Marine unit had found the body of a man from Sixteen Mile Creek at the Royal Ontario Golf Club on Trafalgar Rd. and Milton.

A source has confirmed to inSauga that the man was Karrawan, who was 48 years old at the time of his disappearance.

It was last heard from Karrawan since December 23, two days before Christmas. He was reported missing on December 27.

At the time, his family was concerned about his well-being.

On Thursday, Halton police officers were called to the Royal Ontario Golf Club around 6 p.m. 13.00, after a corpse was discovered in the creek.

HRPS said around noon.
