Criminal Minds: Evolution date set

The next series in the world of Criminal Minds – Criminal Minds: Evolution – has a debut date on Paramount+. Evolution is a revival of the original CBS series, which aired from 2005 to 2020. The first season consists of 10 episodes. The first two will be released on November 24, with new episodes on Thursday until the mid-season finale on December 15. The season kicks off again on January 12, with new episodes on Thursday until the season finale on February 9. after the events of the original series finale, and the team battles a new character played by Zach Gilford. Original cast members Joe Mantegna, AJ Cook, Kirsten Vangsness, Aisha Tyler, Adam Rodriguez and Paget Brewster all return in their roles.

Game of Thrones tops the charts

HBO’s fantasy drama Game of Thrones topped the Nielsen-acquired series chart for the week of August 22-28, The Hollywood Reporter says. The show, which aired from 2011 to 2019, netted 909 million minutes of watch time on HBO Max. The prequel series, House of the Dragon, ranked third in the acquired series chart with 741 million minutes. (The shows are considered “acquired” because Nielsen considers the HBO cable channel their home base.) On the original series chart, Netflix series filled the top three spots: Echoes had streamed 1.12 billion minutes; Stranger Things had 890 million minutes; and The Sandman had 681 million.

W5 returns on October 1st

Canadian documentary series W5 returns on Saturday for its 57th season, broadcast on CTV and streamed on CTV.ca and the CTV app. W5 also airs on Sundays on CTV News Channel. The premiere, Under Fire, focuses on the dire shortage of volunteer firefighters across Canada. Eighty-five percent of firefighters are volunteers, reads a press release from the show. Also this week, W5 examines the invasive species that are reproducing at an alarming rate in North America’s ecosystems, including wild boars in Saskatchewan and boa constrictors in Florida.

‘Wild ride’ for Emily in Paris

Emily in Paris star Lily Collins has given fans of the Netflix series a hint of what to expect in Season 3. Collins, who plays Emily Cooper, posted a screenshot of the new season on Instagram. “Get ready for new looks, new locations, new love triangles,” she wrote, adding, “Get ready for another wild ride.” A teaser for Season 3 shows that Emily appears to be getting close to Alfie (Lucien Laviscount) after Emily’s relationship status was unclear at the end of Season 2.
