Trains are being cancelled after damage to electric wires.
West Midlands Railway has warned commuters that services in and around Birmingham are being cancelled
This comes after overhead electric wires were damaged between Kings Norton and Birmingham New Street.
Transport for West Midlands tweeted shortly after 5:30pm to confirm that there is ‘major disruption’ to the entire Cross City line as a result of the damage.
Those services that have not been cancelled are experiencing delays.
Replacement buses are being organised.
Responding to a comment, the TFWM account stated that ticket acceptance on buses is currently being organised.
TFWM has now confirmed that ticket acceptance has been agreed with National Express West Midlands on the following bus routes: 11A/C, 18, 23, 24, 45, 46, 47, 49, 61, 63, 80, X20, X21, X22
