Weird stuff viewers are heartbroken over a certain death in the season four finale.

The fourth season concluded with a second part that was released on Friday (July 1), and viewers feared that their favorite character would not make it alive.

Sure, there are dead. In episode eight, Dr. Matthew Modine’s Martin Brenner to meet his creator, who was initially thought to have died in season one.

But it’s the death in episode nine that has moved fans: Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn).

Despite being introduced only in the show’s fourth season, Eddie made a strong impression on viewers. Fans expressed their grief on social media over his sacrifice for the show’s fictional town of Hawkins.

Fans are especially moved by the fact that the residents of Hawkins have been hunting Eddie all season long, believing he was responsible for Vecna’s murders.

A witch was led against the character, which didn’t stop him from dying to save everyone – and what’s worse is that his inmates don’t even know it.

“Eddie died protecting a city that will remember him as a murderer,” wrote one fan, while another added, “My husband risked his life for a city that dragged its name through the DIRT.”

“Nah Eddie didn’t deserve to go out for a town that hated him,” said one fan.

Meanwhile, another viewer added: “It’s so tragic that Eddie died saving the city and even after that people still blamed him for everything that happened. they will never know of his sacrifice, he will only be remembered as a murderer.”
